Remote role with periodic travel. A growing international freight forwarding company is adding a second Canada-based freight sales representative to grow its **Canada / US trade-lane** book out of the Burlington area. This is a hunter seat: you carry your own book, open new-logo accounts, and partner with operations to deliver end-to-end. **Immediate hire.** ## What you'll do - Carry your own international freight forwarding book across Canada / US trade lanes (ocean **and** air) - Hunt and close new-logo accounts across Ontario and the wider Canadian market - Manage the full sales cycle: prospect → discover → quote → win → handoff to operations - Bring or build a portable book — accounts that follow you, not just history ## What we're looking for - **Currently in the shipping & logistics industry** — not transferable from outside the vertical - **International freight forwarding sales experience** — ocean **and** air - **CA/US cross-border trade-lane track record** — you know the process, the lanes, the players, and the customers - **Hunter DNA** — proven ability to open new logos, not just grow an inherited book - Based in the Burlington / GTA area and comfortable carrying a number remotely - Customs brokerage / drayage / intermodal familiarity a plus ## Why this role - Real cross-border book to build — operations handles execution so you focus on selling - Uncapped commission on your personal production, with a flexible comp structure - Second seat on a growing Canadian sales team, not a backfill - Direct, low-bureaucracy operating culture - Immediate hire — no slow process ## Not a fit - Sellers without ocean **and** air international forwarding experience - Outside-the-vertical reps (domestic trucking only, general logistics, or non-freight transferees) - Farmers / account managers without a true new-logo closing track record
