## General Manager — Last-Mile Delivery (Houston, TX) A growing Houston-based last-mile courier and delivery operation (shipments 10,000 lbs and under) is hiring a sales-driven General Manager to own commercial growth, operational execution, and team leadership for its Houston market. This is a builder seat for a player-coach operator who sells by day, runs ops in the background, and treats top-line revenue as the primary scoreboard. ### What you will own - **Sales first.** Open new B2B accounts across Houston, convert existing relationships into billable volume, and expand share of wallet with the current customer base. The GM is the top salesperson in the market, not a back-office administrator. - Own the Houston P&L with EBITDA as a primary performance metric - Oversee dispatch and daily operations to ensure service quality and profitability - Lead and develop the operating team: dispatchers, drivers, support staff - Build and maintain relationships with customers, carrier partners, and drivers - Partner with ownership on strategy, hiring, pricing, and market expansion - Represent the company at the leadership level with key Houston accounts ### Who we're looking for - 5+ years in last-mile delivery, courier, parcel, or logistics (asset-based, brokerage, or hybrid) - Proven revenue growth at the GM, Director, or senior sales leadership level: specific accounts opened, revenue growth outcomes, book of business built - Deep operational fluency: dispatch, routing, driver management, daily execution - Existing Houston customer relationships that can be activated for near-term revenue - Player-coach mindset: hands-on in the daily grind, not managing from a distance - Comfortable owning P&L and being measured on EBITDA ### Nice to have - Direct experience with shipments 10,000 lbs and under (parcels, final-mile freight, expedited) - Existing carrier and driver network in the Houston metro - Prior experience scaling a regional operation from one market to multi-market ### The seat - Location: Houston, TX (must be based in the Houston metro) - Full-time, W-2 direct hire - Compensation: base $70,000 to $125,000 commensurate with experience and portable book of business, plus performance bonus tied to EBITDA - Benefits package included
