# Assistant Chief Flight Instructor — Fixed-Wing An established collegiate aviation program in the Midwest (Dubuque, IA area) is expanding its flight-training faculty. This is a **FAA Part 141 collegiate flight school** operating a modern training fleet (single- and multi-engine). The program is growing its instructor ranks ahead of upcoming retirements and wants to bring on multiple hires. The program needs **additional Assistant Chief Flight Instructors (fixed-wing)** to help oversee and standardize training as the flight department scales. ## What You'll Do - Serve as an **FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Flight Instructor** for the fixed-wing program. - Provide, supervise, and standardize flight and ground instruction for **Private and Instrument** certificate students. - Support the Chief Flight Instructor on checks, stage checks, endorsements, and training-record compliance. - Mentor and help develop the line CFIs on staff. ## What You Bring **Required:** - Meets **all FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Flight Instructor requirements** for Private and Instrument certificates. - **CFII and MEI in fixed-wing aircraft**, plus a current **FAA flight medical**. - At least **1 year as a Flight Instructor** within a Part 141 flight school or collegiate flight-training environment — OR currently serving as an Assistant Chief Instructor at a flight-training school with a current FAA Flight Instructor certificate. **Preferred:** - Collegiate flight-training experience. - Track record of standardization and mentoring newer CFIs. ## Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and certifications - **Excellent benefits package**: tuition remission, retirement match, paid holidays, vacation & sick time - Stable, mission-driven collegiate environment — a career home for an instructor who wants off the hour-building treadmill ## Location - **Dubuque, IA (on-site)** — this is a campus-based role.
