## About the Role
An **Air Import/Export Coordinator** is needed on-site in Allen, TX to own the international movement of goods — **primarily AIR**, with ocean support — from pickup to final delivery. You'll manage documentation, customs clearance, and the coordination between carriers, overseas agents, brokers, and customers that keeps freight flowing without bottlenecks. This is a hands-on operations seat at a fast-growing forwarder with a real international network behind you.
## What You'll Do
- Coordinate international airfreight (and supporting ocean) shipments from pickup to final delivery
- Arrange bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, and overseas agents
- Prepare and review shipping documentation — AWB, B/L, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings
- Monitor shipment status and proactively update customers
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export/import regulations and international trade requirements
- Manage customs clearance and work closely with brokers
- Handle rate negotiations and support pricing requests
- Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and service issues
- Maintain accurate records in the TMS/ERP system
- Support business development and customer relationship efforts as needed
## What You Bring
**Required:**
- **7+ years in international freight forwarding** (air and/or ocean) — with a minimum of **3 years in international air-based import/export**
- Strong understanding of **Incoterms**, export documentation, and customs procedures
- Experience with **AES filings** and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in a TMS
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment
- English required
- Able to work **on-site in Allen, TX (Mon–Fri, 8–5)**
**Preferred:**
- Knowledge of hazardous cargo regulations (IATA / IMDG)
- Experience coordinating project cargo or time-sensitive shipments
- Established carrier and agent network relationships
